Hanna Flat, Day 1

Upon our arrival to our campsite, we quickly learned that we had packed the wrong tent poles (though they were brought up later by some others in the group), so we took advantage of the last hour or two of daylight to do a bit of exploring near our site. Although devastated by a fire a few years ago, Hanna Flat was still gorgeous- it was just nice to be in nature. Little to no reception, we were able to just sit near the fire, enjoy each other's company and the quiet and stillness. I definitely want to do a trip like many times next year. Here goes, starting with the car trip up:

Hanna Flat, Day 2

I was so happy to find that I did not have my usual Friday night shift so that I could join my friends (some really cool people) to go camping. Although my trip was cut short (one day instead of two, due to work), I really enjoyed the time I got to spend. We were in Hanna Flat, which is a campsite in the Big Bear area. It was freezing at night...but that's what fires and s'mores are for! I'm just bummed that it's the end of the season, I would have loved to go again!

HalloweenTime at Disneyland

While I love plain ol' regular Disneyland, one of my favorite times of the year is when Disney dresses itself up based on the time of year.  I especially enjoy Christmas at Disneyland, but Halloweentime is also so fun and festive!  The pumpkins and orange and yellow decorations have really put me in a Halloween mood.  I didn't take too many pictures, but here's a peek of some of the decorations.

Orange International Street Fair

Unfortunately (for me, not the business), our booth was pretty crowded for the 2.5 day fair, so I was unable to capture much of it. Pretty quickly, the streets of Orange became so packed that walking on block could take up to a half hour...I'm mostly posting this to remind myself that I need to get better at night shooting and should learn how to use my manual settings better (also, a tripod wouldn't hurt either).
