Catalina Revisited (Pt 1 - The Road to Little Harbor)
These photos are nearly a year old...Memorial Day weekend 2014 to be exact. I had a lovely weekend visiting Prestyn on Catalina Island which included some much needed (and deserved!) relaxation for the both of us. I love this place - the stillness, being so close to nature...and you can't beat those adorable bison and foxes. Reflecting on this trip is making me especially sad and nostalgic because Prestyn will soon be leaving us for at least 6 months to save sea turtles in Costa Rica! I am so incredibly proud of her and excited for her upcoming journey.
Pitlochry
If you're wondering what it feels like to visit a salmon ladder in the first days of January, I can tell you from experience it's very, very cold - but worth it just to see the reflection of the trees and hills on the water (though walking on icy slush downhill is quite a tricky endeavor). Pitlochry was so incredibly charming - I'd love to go on holiday when the temperatures are a bit higher!
Perth
Long walks, thrift store shopping, and lots of people watching...a relaxing, ordinary, happy day.
Edinburgh by Day
On very little sleep, Michael and I roamed the city - playing tourists, keeping warm by stopping in pubs for food and a hot beverage. Seven miles of walking after more than a day of traveling was exhausting but exhilarating. This city is so beautiful.
